Remove items from MetaPanel PlaceHolder in HEAD

Display.aspx contains the following in the HEAD
 <asp:PlaceHolder runat="server" ID="metaPanel">
        <meta content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" http-equiv="Content-Type" />
        <meta content="text/javascript" http-equiv="Content-Script-Type" />
        <meta content="text/css" http-equiv="Content-Style-Type" />
        <meta name="RESOURCE-TYPE" content="DOCUMENT" />
        <meta name="REVISIT-AFTER" content="1 DAYS" />
        <meta name="RATING" content="GENERAL" />
    </asp:PlaceHolder>
I would like to be able to remove some of the items, so this possible?

This placeholder is in DNN since from 7.3 AFAIK.
What you could do is remove the control (with everything in it) and then re-add the ones that you do want with AddToHead=<meta ... /><meta ... />"
As the individual items don't have an ID you cannot remove them individually.

RemoveControl="MetaPanel" should disable / remove the placeholder
Then use

Please let me know if this worked for you.
